The search for the best happy hour in Denver continues! My friend Min and I (along with a couple others!) are currently on the search for the best happy hour in Denver. Each week, we try somewhere new and here is where I share with you! Check out the other happy hours we have tried here.
This week we headed to Work & Class in LoDo. Min had dinner there last week and heard great things about it. They also refer to their happy hour as “Early Work Release Program” on their website, so it seemed like a great place to head to! And this week, Narina and Brittany decided (or needed to after a long week) join in the fun!
The restaurant is not that big, but it is cozy. We were seated at the main “family-style” table in the middle of the restaurant and each decided to order one of the House Cocktails (so many options!) The current menu online isn’t updated, but Narina and I had the Tart Pomegranate-Cucumber + Tequila, Brittany had the Spicy Basil Sour + Tequila and Min tried the seasonal mix that I think was a cider. All so good and only $5, so it felt like a steal! I think the Spicy Basil Sour was my favorite (reminded me of the Fuego Verde from Lola) but honestly, I liked each one of them!
For food, we started with an order of the Chicharones Taco and the Pulled Pork Slider. I knew I had chicharones but didn’t remember what they were. It was still good! Britt and Min each loved their slider too! I would recommend each getting something if you head here for happy hour with your friends – the portions ($3-5 each) are definitely meant for one person.
We ended up getting a little more food – some green chile cheese fries to share and I got a half Massive Attack Salad from the dinner menu. Both were so yummy! The salad was really light and tangy and I would definitely get it again!
We had a great time at this happy hour and were just really enjoying ourselves! Definitely recommend Work & Class!
HAPPY HOUR REVIEW
Price: We definitely got our bang for our buck here. And honestly, this was one of the less pricey happy hours we have been to!
Drinks: YUM. YUM. YUM. and we didn’t even venture far off the House Cocktails. There were still so many options!
Food: Each food option on the happy hour menu was different from the last, but I do wish there were just a few more options!
Cool factor: The restaurant itself is not very big, and it was very full when we went for happy hour. The “family-style” seating was great and the staff was even better!
Overall grade: A
Love, love this place! We were just having a great time and really enjoyed ourselves here. Would have liked to see a couple more food options on the happy hour menu, but still a great place to start the weekend!
